Owner and barbeque expert John Musser opened Capt'n Bill's Backyard Grill in the spring of 1994, with a vision of creating Wilmington, NC's ultimate barbeque experience. Trained in the fine art of low and slow, John has spent his life creating the word's best barbeque. He brings his love and passion to every dish he creates and started his career by enjoying BBQ with his father William, the namesake for his restaurant Capt'n Bill's Back Yard Grill.
